History

Pateros Creek Brewing (pronounced Puh-Tare-Ohs) got its name from the iconic Cache la Poudre River that runs through the City of Fort Collins and throughout Northern Colorado. Pateros Creek (PCBC) is said by local historians to be the original name of the Cache la Poudre River.

Pateros Creek is a Fort Collins father and son venture started by the son Steve Jones. Steve asked his father, Bob, to become part of his crazy dream in 2008 and with Bob’s business experience and Steve’s beer knowledge, PCBC was born. In October of 2010, beer was being brewed on a contract basis with friends of Steve’s at Grimm Brother’s Brewhouse in Loveland. In December, PCBC located and secured its location on North College Ave in a quiet part of Old Town. The doors opened June 11, 2011 and we have been proudly serving tasty brews around the area ever since. Although Bob is no longer active in the company, Steve with the help of a great staff and a supportive family still run the business today.

We are focusing on easy drinking beer we have dubbed “leisure beers” created by using local history, creative innovation, and off-the-wall flavors to bring forth some new and old styles that speak to the community in a way others cannot. Whether you need a quaffing beer to pass away a lazy afternoon sitting on a patio in downtown or you want to expand your ideas of what a great beer can be and share it with friends, Pateros Creek Brewing will satisfy your palate. Balanced, smooth, patio beers. What else do you need?

The Brewery has year round beers we call The Legends and in addition, we have a constantly rotating set of seasonal and one-off beers we call our Renegades to keep things interesting. We also do a one-off keg of a beer we call The Outlaw every Thursday and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Having fun, pushing the limits and experimenting with new ingredients and processes are what drive the Outlaw Tap!
